A taste of your experience:

In close collaboration with the Director of Construction Projects, the Superintendent is responsible for the management, planning, coordination and all follow-up with the Subcontractors on the various construction sites. He must ensure that the team performs their work with Prosern quality, while meeting established deadlines. He can do the daily management of site activities, modify schedules according to activities, analyze project documentation, act as an expert in work quality, monitor budgets with the Project Manager, coordinate site meetings (with the Project Manager), fill in daily reports or impose the desirable work rhythm to meet deadlines.

He must be rigorous and have good skills in relation to planning, organization and have the necessary skills to supervise his team as well as several commercial and industrial sites.

Wanted profile:

• Experience as a superintendent (between 3 and 5 years).
• Competency card (companite carpenter) and valid ASP required.
• Excellent management, plan reading and organization skills.
• Experience with steel structure (an asset).
• Manual skill with different tools.
• Focus on problem solving and analysis/supervision capacity.
• Pair of outstanding leaders.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license.

Main responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the construction site and keep the site in good order.
• Manage the daily opening and closing of the construction site.
• Impose the work cadence to meet the schedules.
• Establish the work schedule and coordinate the presence of stakeholders on the site.
• Coordinate site meetings with the Project Manager.
• Monitor QRT (quality/yield/work) with the Project Manager and/or professionals.
• Study project documents (customer quotes, plans, ST contracts) for a perfect understanding.
• Fill in the daily reports with complete and relevant information.
• Ensure the quality of work execution according to the standards.
• Supervise health and safety elements, including the installation of the required protective equipment.
• Manage construction site equipment: maintenance, replacement and mobilization.
• Supervise and mobilize internal teams.
• Respect the budgets at the level of the general conditions.
• Resolve conflicts between different professions.
